PLATINUM EDUCATIONAL GROUP TRANSFER POLICY
PEG recognizes that enrollment errors or unforeseen circumstances may occur and that, in certain situations, a cohort transfer request may be needed.
All transfer requests must be submitted within 24 months of the student’s original enrollment date.
Transfers may be approved for the following circumstances:
Enrollment or Acceptance Error
The student was enrolled in or accepted into an incorrect cohort.
- Transferring from a lower provider-level cohort to a higher provider-level cohort due to an enrollment error requires payment of any difference in enrollment fees, if applicable.
- Transferring from a higher provider-level cohort to a lower provider-level cohort due to an enrollment error will result in a refund of any difference in enrollment fees paid, per PEG’s refund policy, if applicable.
Continuation of Student’s Original Cohort
The institution has approved the student to resume their original program in a new cohort at the point of prior withdrawal. Transfers are permitted only when a student is continuing their original enrollment and may not be used to begin a new program or to start over as a new student.
Transfer to a Lower Provider-Level Cohort
- Example: Paramedic to EMT
The transfer request is for another cohort within the same institution at a lower provider level. Any price difference will not be refunded.
Schedule Change
If the student is active within the platform and needs to change cohorts due to a documented schedule change, they may be transferred to another cohort within the same institution at the same provider level.
Institution Closure
Transfers from a closing institution to an active institution for a cohort at the same or lower provider level may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Medical Leave
Transfers due to an unexpected illness or injury may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Military Deployment or Reassignment
Active military deployment or reassignment that prevents continued participation in the original cohort.
Transfers will not be approved for the following circumstances (the student must enroll as a new student):
The transfer is requested more than 24 months after the student’s original enrollment date.
The student voluntarily withdraws, quits, or fails their original cohort for any reason and subsequently seeks enrollment in a new cohort.
Transfers from a lower provider-level cohort to a higher provider-level cohort, not due to an enrollment error.
The student had access to the platform through an active cohort, did not use it during that time, and is now requesting to use the same access card/code for a new cohort.
Alternative use of the platform
Requests for access or enrollment after a student has completed or graduated from their original program, or for purposes outside the scope of the original educational enrollment, are not considered cohort transfers or a continuation of their original cohort.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Employment or hiring examinations
- Field Training Officer (FTO) programs
- New-hire or onboarding training
- Protocol or competency examinations
- Any other post-completion, employment-related, or alternative use of the platform
Requests of this nature represent a new and distinct use of the platform and require separate enrollment and applicable fees. Previously issued access cards, enrollments, or transfers may not be reused for these purposes.
PEG Transfer Procedure
All transfer requests must be submitted in writing by a program administrator or instructor to the Customer Support helpdesk. Requests initiated by a student will not be accepted.
PEG reserves the right to review and determine transfer requests on a case-by-case basis and may modify this policy at any time.
