Platinum Educational Group offers a variety of question types within our program, including single-answer, free-form, select-all-that-apply, drag-and-drop, options box, ordered-response, and sequence. Additionally, instructors can create custom questions using many of these formats.
Note: PEG's Education team updates the bank regularly to keep our question banks up to date. Our Development Team is also working to offer more question types in the future.

B. Compatibility with Different Exam Types
A. Question Types:
Single Answer: This is a traditional multiple-choice question with up to 8 possible options and 1 correct answer. This question type, with four possible options, accounts for the majority of the Platinum Validated Banks.
When created with only 2 possible options, this type can be used to create True-or-False-style questions.
Free Form: This allows the student to enter their answer in a sentence format.
Note: This option can only be used on printed exams.
Drag-and-Drop: This requires the student to drag the answer to the appropriate location.
Note: This option is only available for online exams.
Select-all-that-apply: This question type is a multiple-choice question with up to 8 options, each of which may be correct. When answered, all correct answers must be selected for students to answer the question correctly.
Fill-In-The-Blank: This question type requires the student to enter the correct answer in the answer box.
Note: This option can only be used on printed exams.
Ordered Response: This requires the student to put the options into the correct order.
Note: This option is not available when creating questions as an instructor, but the sequence option can achieve the same result.
Sequence: This requires the student to drag and drop the answers to their correct position.
Note: When answering questions of this type, students must place all possible options into the available boxes to submit their answer.
Options Box: This requires the student to check the boxes for the options that apply in the column(s) to the left.

Print- Only: Some question types can only be used on a printed exam.
Online- Only: Some dynamic question types will only function in an online format and cannot be printed.
Custom: This indicates that the question type can be created by instructors in Manage Questions.
PEG: This indicates that the question type is available in our question banks.
Group Testing: This indicates the question type is compatible with group testing. Group testing is an interactive testing game that allows students to answer questions in a timed format in a group setting. These exams will not count in the grade book.
CAT: This indicates the question type is used in computer-adaptive exams.
- Note: As PEG's Educational team pilots new question types, your students might see additional question types not listed if your school settings allow for pilot questions during CAT exams.
Entry Assessment: This indicates the question type can be used for Entry assessments.
