Adding questions written by other instructors within your school to your exams is possible without importing an entire exam into your account.
A. Adding Another Instructor's Questions Using Text, Keyword, or ID
B. Adding Another Instructor's Questions Using the Curriculum
To be able to add instructor-created questions to your exam:
- The question(s) must be for the same provider level as your exam.
- The question(s) need to be active.
- Both instructors must be a part of the same school.
A. Adding Another Instructor's Questions Using Text, Keyword, or ID:
1. Start by creating or editing an exam.
- Create New Exam:
- Stat in your Instructor role, under the Manage Tests tab, and click the Create New Test button.
- Stat in your Instructor role, under the Manage Tests tab, and click the Create New Test button.
- Editing an Exam:
- If you are adding the questions to an exam that has already been finalized, you must click the red button to re-enable test editing on the Test Questions tab.
- Note: If the re-enable test editing button is not available, it could be a couple of things:
- Exams already taken by students or instructors in their student accounts cannot be edited.
- If you edit an exam that has yet to be taken by students but cannot edit the exam, the exam is likely added to a class. Removing it from the class will allow you to edit the exam.
- If you are adding the questions to an exam that has already been finalized, you must click the red button to re-enable test editing on the Test Questions tab.
2. Select the Question Criteria tab.
3. Select the Pull Questions By Text, Keyword, or ID tab.
4. Click the dropdown for the Question Bank and select My Schools Questions.
5. In the Search By dropdown, select if you want to search by text, keyword, or ID.
6. Under Search, type the word, phrase, or ID.
Note: There cannot be any extra spaces after the keyword. The system will recognize that extra space as an additional character requirement for the keyword/text/id. If your criteria search has no results, try again and ensure there are no invisible spaces before or after the keyword.
7. Click Save Criteria. This will bring any questions that fit the criteria that you have added to your exam.
B. Adding Another Instructor's Questions Using the Curriculum
1. Start by creating or editing an exam.
- Create New Exam:
- Stat in your Instructor role, under the Manage Tests tab, and click the Create New Test button.
- Stat in your Instructor role, under the Manage Tests tab, and click the Create New Test button.
- Editing an Exam:
- If you are adding the questions to an exam that has already been finalized, you must click the red button to re-enable test editing on the Test Questions tab.
- Note: If the re-enable test editing button is not available, it could be a couple of things:
- Exams already taken by students or instructors in their student accounts cannot be edited.
- If you edit an exam that has yet to be taken by students but cannot edit the exam, the exam is likely added to a class. Removing it from the class will allow you to edit the exam.

2. Select the Question Criteria tab.
3. Select the tab Pull Questions By Curriculum.
4. Click the dropdown for the Question Bank and select My Schools Questions.
5. In the Curriculum dropdown, select the curriculum the questions are under.
6. Next select the module and/or topics within the curriculum that you would like to search.
Note: Selecting a module will select all the topics in that module.
7. Click Save Criteria. This will bring any questions that fit the criteria that you have added to your exam.
