(Instructor) Mark Complete

School administrators and instructors can mark students as complete for their cohorts; however, only admins can reverse a student's completion status. The Mark Complete feature indicates that the student has met their cohort requirements. Once marked, the student will be moved to alumni status for Platinum Planner. Other users, both inside and outside of Platinum Planner, can also approve the student's completion. Although this feature is available to both instructors and administrators, we provide instructions below only for the instructor role.  

 

Note: Options and displays mentioned in this article will differ for users depending on their profession, class associations, and permissions assigned to their instructor role within Platinum Planner.

A. Marking a Student as Complete: 

There are two ways to mark a student as complete: through Manage Students (A1) and the Student Progress Report (A2).

Note: If a student is marked complete, they will be changed to alumni status for Platinum Planner. This applies to the entire cohort and cannot be done for individual classes.  

 

A1.  Manage Students: 

1. Go into your Instructor role for Platinum Planner. 

2. Under Classes/Students, select Manage My Students

3.  Locate the student you would like to mark complete. Under the Actions column, select Details

4. On the right side of the page, click the green Mark Complete button. You can also click View Progress to check the student's Student Progress Report if needed.

5. You will be asked to confirm whether you want to mark the student's completion. If you're sure, click Yes

 

 

 

A2.  Student Progress Report: 

1. Go into your Instructor role for Platinum Planner. 

2. Select Reports from the red toolbar at the top of the page.

3.  Select Student Progress Report

4. Run a progress report by selecting the desired filters and clicking Run Report at the bottom of the page. This can be filtered however you like, with multiple students or a single student. 

 

5. Click the green Mark Complete button at the top right of the student's Student Progress Report.

6. You will be asked to confirm whether you want to mark the student's completion. If you're sure, click Yes

 

If you need to mark more students as complete within the same report, simply scroll down to the next student's report and repeat steps 5 and 6.

 

 

B. Inviting Other Users to Sign Off on the Students (Internal and External)

1. Go into your Instructor role for Platinum Planner. 

2. Under Classes/Students, select Manage My Students

3.  Locate the student you would like to mark complete. Under the Actions column, select Details

4.  Select the Completion/Review tab. 

 

5.  Click Add/Invite Reviewer

6. Add Reviewer: This feature lets you include reviewers within your own school. They will be notified of the review request. Select the users you want to add, then click Invite Users at the bottom. 

 

7. Invite Reviewer: This feature allows you to invite external users (those without Platinum Planner Accounts at your school) to review the student's progress and mark them complete. Enter the person's Name and Email, then click Send Invitation.
