A. Reviewing Documentation:

1. Begin by clicking Complete under the Ready to Review tab within the actions column to review the documentation.

Note: There is an alternative option next to complete, Flag. If you click Flag (due to a disciplinary issue), an email will be sent to the instructor letting them know the student has been flagged by you, which disables their account within Platinum Planner. The instructor will then need to unflag the student for them to use Platinum Planner again. Please only use this feature when absolutely necessary.

2. The documentation will open to the Review tab. This is where you will see everything in the student's documentation (opportunity details, history, patients, forms, and documents). Scroll down to view all of the information in this tab.

Note: The term "patients" varies by profession. You may see this section referred to as cases, benches, procedural areas, or events.

Under the Patients section, click +Edit Note to add additional information to the patient.

Note: When viewing patients, some users may notice that they cannot add notes for all patients. This occurs when schools have a feature that allows different preceptors to be assigned to different patients. If this feature is enabled, users can only add notes for patients to whom they have been assigned as preceptors.

3.  The Forms tab is where you will complete any forms related to this student's opportunity. Click the dropdown next to the form name, then select Fill Out Form to proceed with the form.

5. The Complete tab is where you will sign the documentation and leave any notes you would like. Click the appropriate button according to your determination of the documentation.

  • Return to Student: Returns documentation to the student for further modification.  The opportunity will move to the Student's Documenting tab.
  • Reject Documentation: Indicates to the student's instructor(s) that you are dissatisfied with the student's documentation.  The opportunity will move to the Completed tab.
  • Approve Documentation: Indicates to the student's instructor(s) that you are satisfied with the student's documentation. The opportunity will move to the Completed tab.

Note: Please verify that all information has been completed before submitting your evaluation. Once your evaluation has been submitted, you will not be able to make additional changes.
