(School) Manage Class Defaults

School Administrator- Manage Class Defaults

Manage Class Defaults allows you to adjust the defaults of an entire class at once. Adjusting defaults gives credit to students for hours or skills completed outside of Planner documentation. This enables them to receive credit for completing skills or hours on their progress report without being linked to documentation related to a class.

To locate this feature, click the Cohorts/Classes/Sites tab in the red toolbar and select Manage Class Defaults.

Adjusting Class Defaults:

1. In the Cohort dropdown, select the cohort containing the class that needs to be adjusted.

2. In the Class dropdown, select the class.

3. Adjust Hours and Skills. Click the appropriate dropdowns for the adjustment(s) you want to make. In the boxes to the left, you can enter the number of additional hours or successful attempts for which you would like to give the student credit (green). You enter a negative number to subtract from a class's skill attempts (yellow). If you remove a zero from an option and do not add an integer back, the box will turn red.  Any empty field will return to the default zero upon saving.

Note (EMS: SMC23): If you want to add defaults for unsuccessful attempts to report the required skill success rates, you should do so through the individual student defaults instead of class defaults. For more information, click here.
