The length of your adaptive tests will depend on a few things.
Primarily, it will be based on your performance on the test and the test you selected.
When you take a computer adaptive test, you will see approximately 30 questions per module. If you are performing very well or poorly, the test will end early. This means you might see 25 questions in a module, and you might see 20.
If you have selected a Comprehensive Test, that test can contain multiple modules. You can expect approximately 30 questions for each module included in your test. For example, if you are a paramedic student taking a comprehensive Module Topic Objective test with 8 active modules, you can expect up to 240 questions.
Additionally, your school may allow pilot questions to appear in the Computer Adaptive Testing experience. The default setting is to include five questions; however, this number may vary based on your school’s settings. Your performance on these questions will not impact your results or the allotted time if you take a timed test.
The length of your adaptive tests will depend on the test you selected and your performance on that test.
When you are testing, if you are an RN student, you will see approximately 36 questions per module (you will have 72 minutes per module if you are taking a timed test). For an LVN/LPN student, you see approximately 50 questions per module (you will have 75 minutes per module if you are taking a timed test).
The test will end early if you perform well and reach our benchmarks. If you perform poorly and reach a point where you cannot succeed, it will end early.
If you have opted to take a comprehensive test, that test can contain multiple modules. If you are taking a full comprehensive test (containing all 4 modules) as an RN student, you may see up to 145 questions (and if that is a timed test, 5 hours to complete those modules). As an LVN/LPN student, you may see up too 200 questions (if that is a timed test, 5 hours to complete those modules).
