Screen reading software can be used with our site, but only certain screen readers can be used during exams. Below are a few options we have tested and know to work. We are not affiliated with these companies or products, but they should work with EMSTesting or Platinum Tests while taking an exam.
We are currently aware of 2 options that do not trigger our copy-theft policy: the built-in reader in the Edge browser and the Chrome extension NaturalReader.
Note: Screen readers cannot be used if Secure Testing is required. The lockdown browser will not allow other applications, including screen readers, to run while it is being used. If you are a student who needs a screen reader and requires testing for your exam, you will need to contact your instructor.
A. Edge browser

2. Once you are on a page you must read, click the 3 dots on the right of the screen.
3. Near the bottom, click Read Aloud. This will trigger the browser to read everything on the page.
B. Natural Reader
